LeopardUs Cheetoh Cats

The Cheetoh cat is a beautiful and rare, spotted pedigree cat.

First developed over 18 years ago in the U.S.A from very specific bloodlines
of Bengals and Ocicats, with temperament in mind.

Our cheetohs were the first in Australia and have been here for over 8 years.
Our kittens are highly sought after; if you are interested in adding one to your family,
please read our 'kittens for sale' page carefully and contact us for more information.

About LeopardUs Cheetoh Cats

Cheetoh Cat at a cafe
The Cheetoh has a super affectionate nature and real love for their human companions; they are intelligent with the ability to learn quickly.

They have a gentle and mild-mannered temperament although are very active and therefore do great in homes with children.

Their amazing coat pattern consists of lots of spots and a few stripes for good measure, replicating the look of their wild counterparts.

They hold the distinctive characteristics of both the Ocicat and Bengal; however, the head is slightly chiselled and the ears are more prominent.

They walk with a lower front stance and higher at the back, a generous sized cat with males being more muscular with thick necks and solid bodies.

Females have a slightly smaller frame but are still well muscled compared to the average moggy.

Snow Spotted Cheetoh Cat

After seeing the Cheetoh cat breed on "Cats 101" and investigating further we discovered foundation Australian breeder, Ozzotics Cattery in QLD and purchased our first Cheetoh, Yuki as a pet.

Attracted by their amazing look and even better nature, we soon fell in love and couldn't wait for the next addition to our fur-family.

When the Ozzotics Cattery decided closed-down, we had the opportunity to purchase their wonderful breeding stock (made up of Yuki's parents, Aragorn and Chandra; and a Snow Queen, Ember).

From there it has been full steam ahead. Our family has been involved in the Pet Care Industry, at the top level for over 25 years and was showing and breeding Rottweilers before that.

We now have a small home based cattery situated in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

The Cheetoh Breed

The Cheetoh was first researched and developed in the U.S.A by Carol of Wind Haven Exotics in 2001, the first litters of cubs arrived in 2003. Other qualified breeders throughout the United States were invited to participate in the Cheetoh breeding program.

The Cheetoh became a recognised registered breed with the United Feline Organization in November of 2004.

They are also listed under "experimental breed" with The International Cat Association (TICA) at this time. This is the first step necessary to having the breed also become registered with TICA.

In Australia, the Cheetoh Cat is recognised in with Australian National Cats (ANCATS). LeopardUs Cheetoh Cats is a Member and a Registered Breeder through ANCATS.

Cheetoh cats are the right balance of a sweet natured lap-cat and a wild looking adventurer. They have a dependable, docile nature and interact well with people as well as other cats and dogs – a busy and noisy family is no problem.
